Window cleaning in Diamond Bar, CA
Diamond Bar is a hill city with many condos and townhomes and an imported water supply. Outside windows are $9 each. Many homes here have an association, so we explain below how that changes the booking.
Homes in Diamond Bar
Diamond Bar has 53,355 people in 14.9 square miles. Median home value is about $902,200.
Wikipedia says the Transamerica Corporation acquired the Diamond Bar Ranch in the 1950s to develop one of the nation's first master-planned communities. The SR-60 and SR-57 freeways meet in the city. ZIP codes are 91765 and 91789 (shared with Walnut).
Water in Diamond Bar and what it does to glass
The Walnut Valley Water District serves the city. The Metropolitan Water District and Three Valleys Municipal Water District both sell imported water to the district from the Colorado River Aqueduct and the State Water Project. Its 2025 report puts about 60 percent of its supply at the Metropolitan Water District's Weymouth plant in La Verne, about 39 percent at Three Valleys Municipal Water District's Miramar plant in Claremont and about 1 percent at Three Valleys groundwater. It gives hardness by source, and no blended number. Weymouth water averaged 234 mg/L (range 189 to 280), Miramar averaged 97 mg/L and the groundwater 215 mg/L (190 to 270).
So the water a home gets depends on which plant feeds its pipe: Weymouth water is "very hard" and Miramar water is "moderately hard". The USGS scale calls water more than 180 mg/L as very hard. The report does not map that. Sprinkler spots are the practical test. If you see heavy white rings on lower windows, your side of the city is likely on the harder water. The hard-water guide explains what to try before calling anyone.
Wind, dust and sun
We found no Diamond Bar wind or dust data. In the region, Santa Ana winds blow mostly October to February. The air district says gusty Santa Ana winds can lift dust and soil into the air. Two freeways meet here, and we have no measurement to give for road grime.
| Gust days, 40 mph or more | 1.5 a year (0.2 reach 50 mph) |
| Rain | 17.2 inches a year on 37 days of 0.04 in or more |
| Longest stretch without measurable rain | 153 days, ending 2020-11-06 |
| Days of 100 F or more | 5 a year |

HOAs, roofs and solar panels
If your Diamond Bar home is a condo or townhome, an association may manage the exterior. Check with your association before booking outside work. It may hire its own window cleaner or require approved vendors. We only clean solar panels on single-story roofs of a home you own, from the ground, $6 a panel. We never go on a roof.
Diamond Bar electric service and solar billing
On the SCE service territory city list, Diamond Bar appears. That list is dated 2010. Your bill names your utility.
The CPUC says the Net Billing Tariff applies to customers who submit an interconnection application on or after April 15, 2023. Customers on the NEM 2.0 tariff are allowed to remain on it for 20 years from the date they interconnected. Check your interconnection date to see which tariff you are on. For scale, a University of California San Diego study of 186 California sites found that, on average, sites would have yielded 0.81 percent more annual energy if they had been washed halfway through the summer drought. It did not report results for this city, so yours can differ. In a wet winter rain does much of the work.
Association rules in a master-planned city
Under Civil Code 714, an association restriction that effectively bans solar is void. If an association does not deny a solar application in writing within 45 days of receipt, the application is deemed approved. We did not verify the names of Diamond Bar's associations or a city solar permit page, so ask your management company about vendor rules.
