Window cleaning in Jurupa Valley, CA

Jurupa Valley is nine older communities joined into one city, including Mira Loma, Glen Avon, Pedley, Sunnyslope and Rubidoux. Outside windows are $9 each. Water here is among the hardest on our list.

Homes in Jurupa Valley

Jurupa Valley has 108,158 people in 42.9 square miles. The city was formed in 2011 from nine communities: Belltown, Crestmore Heights, Glen Avon, Indian Hills, Jurupa Hills, Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux and Sunnyslope. Median home value is about $626,600.

Mira Loma was called Wineville before 1930. Rubidoux was a rural area of quarries and dairy farms before it became a suburb. The city lies north and west of the Santa Ana River, across from Riverside, east of I-15. ZIP codes include 91752 for Mira Loma and 92509 for the Rubidoux and Glen Avon area. Because the communities are inside our 15-mile line, we cover all of them from this page: Mira Loma (8.0 miles from Ontario), Glen Avon (8.2), Pedley (10.2), Sunnyslope (11.9) and Rubidoux (12.6). Water in Jurupa Valley and what it does to glass

Two districts serve the city, Jurupa Community Services District and Rubidoux Community Services District. We could not find a map that shows which serves which neighborhood. JCSD's 2025 report gives a system-wide hardness of 162 mg/L on average (range 25 to 220), from a mix of local groundwater and imported water. Rubidoux CSD's 2025 report says its supply is 100 percent groundwater from six active wells, with hardness averaging 273 mg/L and a range of 210 to 340. That is about 16 grains per gallon (our conversion, dividing by 17.1). On the USGS scale, 273 is "very hard."

If your windows are in Rubidoux Community Services District territory, expect heavy white crust faster and a harder clean-up. Check your water bill for the name. Whichever district you are on, tell us in your quote request if the glass has crust, and we will text you for a photo. We quote removal from the photo, from about $6 a window on top, and never add it without asking. The hard-water guide shows what to try first.

Wind, dust and sun

We found reports of heavy truck traffic around the warehouses in Mira Loma, but we could only see summaries and not the studies, so we do not quote any numbers. We also found no measurement of dust on glass in Jurupa Valley. What we can say is that Santa Ana winds blow about 10 to 25 times a year, and the air district says their gusts lift dust and soil. Road and warehouse traffic add grime of their own that we cannot size, but glass near truck routes shows it.

Jurupa Valley: three fires in the same hills

Cal Fire lists the Hill Fire as 100% contained at 628 acres. The Pyrite Fire erupted around 5:20 p.m. Friday near Pyrite Street and Granite Hill Drive. That was September 5, 2025. The Pyrite Fire grew to 550 acres.

On April 15, 2026 a 34-acre fire near Yearling Way and Baldwin Avenue forced evacuation orders. Ash from fires like these lands on glass and panels across town. Rinse first, then wipe.

HOAs, roofs and solar panels

We clean single-story roof panels from the ground at $6 a panel. We never go on roofs, and we do not clean second-story roof arrays. We could not find a named HOA community list for Jurupa Valley, so if you have an association, check its contractor rules.

Jurupa Valley electric service and solar billing

The City of Jurupa Valley's service partners page says SCE is the energy provider for residents. The CPUC says solar applications since April 15, 2023 take the Net Billing Tariff, and NEM 2.0 customers can stay on their tariff for 20 years from interconnection. The same city page says water, sewer and street lights come from two community services districts, JCSD and Rubidoux CSD. For scale, a University of California San Diego study of 186 California sites found that, on average, sites would have yielded 0.81 percent more annual energy if they had been washed halfway through the summer drought. It did not report results for this city, so yours can differ.

Jurupa Valley solar permits and rights

The city's SolarAPP+ page says plans will be automatically approved so long as they meet the minimum requirements. SolarAPP+ allows plans to be approved within the day. Eligibility is main dwelling rooftop, permitted, residential structures only. Ballasted and ground-mounted systems are not eligible. Civil Code 714 voids association rules that effectively ban solar. We found no named association list for the city. The city's FAQ says the Municipal Code currently does not have an ordinance that addresses Christmas or other holiday lights.
